A Creed of Saints
It’s just over a month before Scott and I launch the sixth book in the ‘Dax Hunter Files.’ Scott already made huge contributions to my 4th and 5th books (‘A Bastion of Truth’, and ‘A Crisis of Faith’), so it was only natural that I asked him whether he’d consider co-authoring Book #6 with me. The rest, as they say, is history: ‘A Creed of Saints’ will be launching on May 28th, 2026.
Here’s what Scott had to say after the airing of our recent interview with well-known evangelist, Britt Gillette.
Over the decades I have read hundreds of books in the Historical Fiction, Adventure, Political Thriller, Suspense, and Faction genres. They include James Patterson, Clive Cussler, Dean Koontz, David Baldacci, Amir Tsarfati, Michael Crichton, Lee Child, James Rollins, and many others. I personally put Gary Albyn’s books on the same standing as these notable authors. But what is far more special to me is how Gary is weaving in a Biblical Worldview and faithfully stewarding the Bible as a sacred source of truth.
I met Gary at Church about 4 years ago, and he’s been in my Bible study ever since. In the beginning of our friendship, we talked about what it would mean if his skills could be applied to a ministry of waking up the Church, modeling what is happening, and projecting plot, action, and character development in a highly entertaining way.
During the writing of his 4th book— 'A Bastion of Truth’ —Gary approached me and requested my input on some technical and Biblical issues. In ‘A Crisis of Faith’ (Book 5 in the ‘Dax Hunter Files’) my contribution increased slightly, including the drafting of several scenes, particularly those focusing on doctrinal, eschatological, and technological content. When he completed this book, Gary gave me the offer of a lifetime: to co-author the 6th book in the series.
Where ‘A Crisis of Faith’ ends with the Rapture of the Church, Book#6— ‘A Creed of Saints’ —begins just 23-minutes later. We were well into the story when we realized that our original plan—to split the book into two three-and-a-half-year segments—was just not feasible. So, God willing (and tarrying), readers can expect at least a few more books in the series!
Before Britt began recording this interview, he mentioned that he couldn’t put Book#5 down. That is a massive compliment, given that he is a gifted author in his own right. ‘A Creed of Saints’ begins a new journey in the Dax Hunter Files. With the Rapture happening at the end of ‘A Crisis of Faith’, Dax’s two sons, Beau and Cassian, are left behind. In these two characters, we explore the implications of what that means. It is our fervent hope that the Lord will use both the characters and the storyline to bring more people to Himself—both before the Rapture and afterwards.
What a privilege it is to work with Gary on this project … I can’t tell you how excited I am to be a first-time co-author!
YBIC,
Scott E Townsend
